“During the early 2000s, the Florence administration decided to restore the tram service. Works on the first line started in December 2005. Construction works were expected to last for 1,000 days, but eventually it took more than 1,800 days to complete the line. Line 1 started operation on 14 February 2010. The first part of Line 1, at Scandicci, was the first rail public transport service in the area. During the first 10 months of service, the total passenger served were 7 million, a result considered a success. On 16 July 2018 the line was extended from Florence Santa Maria Novella railway station to the current northern terminus, Careggi.” (Trams in Florence, Wikipedia)

“The ATM Class 1500, also known as type 1928, is a series of tram vehicles used by the ATM on the Milan urban tramway network. In the 1920s, the increasing traffic on the Milan urban tramway network made pressing the substitution of the old tramcars ‘type Edison’. The municipal tram office decided to design a new type of tramcars, built on two bogies, taking as model the Peter Witt streetcars built in Cleveland and in other cities of the United States. The Milan streetcar was projected by the municipal engineers in 1927, and two prototypes, built by Carminati & Toselli and numbered 1501 and 1502, came into service at the end of the same year. After a few tests, the construction of a 500 units stock (numbered 1503 to 2002) began, divided between several manufacturers." (ATM Class 1500, Wikipedia)

“Tram 22 follows one of Prague's most scenic routes with stunning views along the way. It goes from Nadrazi Hostivar on the south-east end of Prague through the hip Vinohrady quarter to the New Town, passing by the National Theatre, crossing the river Vltava to Mala Strana (the Lesser Town) and continuing up to the Prague Castle. It ends at Bila hora on the west suburb of the city. The 22 is ideal to see Prague´s major attractions in a cheap and comfortable way. You can hop on/off and visit the most interesting places in Prague. The tram 22 uses iconic red tram cars T3 built by Tatra between 1960-1999.
