Palazzina Indiano
Palazzina Indiano
Piazzale dell'Indiano
Parco delle Cascine (Cascine Park)
Florence, January 2025
“The Palazzina Indiano (sometimes also called the Palazzina dell'Indiano or Palazzina ex Indiano) is a historic stone building located downstream, in the western area of the Cascine park in Florence. It was built in 1872 as a public café near the confluence of the Arno and the Mugnone rivers and close to the pedestrian bridge that crosses the latter. It takes its name from the fact that the ashes of the Indian prince Rajaram Chuttraputti were scattered here in 1870, in whose honour a funerary monument was also built.” (Palazzina Indiano, Wikipedia)
