I climbed the 311 steps to that balcony many years ago. I hope I'll summon the courage and energy to do it again sometime soon. I don't like stairs or high places, but the view from up there is pretty good.

There is no cage "good" enough to get me to the top of something like this! Not that I don't like heights or anything...

Beautiful photo, I can see you're enjoying your camera. It's interesting about the almost-egg-and=dart design. We have real (?) eggs and darts on the Astoria Column. I'll have to check them out again. I think they're the real thing.
