I was in the Navy, but never served aboard a ship. This one is now a museum...I wonder if it was used in WWII? I understand that sound of those guns going off was quite something!
I've just looked up Eurosatory, I had no idea that thing even existed. It isn't held anywhere near Versailles though, but in Villepinte, North of Paris.
Are those really called "rifles"? Are they technically built like rifles inside? They look huge and scary, but I guess that's the point.

ReplyDeleteHMS Belfast I have never visited. I like this shot, the symmetry of the guns appeals to me (not the guns though.)
