Interesting and confusing. I think some architects do their work for the same reason Hollywood makes incredibly stupid but technologically-stunning movies - because they can.
Nice reflections. I like the top of the building, but under the pyramid looks bad. Nearby is the famous 221B Baker Street, a fictional address from Sherlock Holmes. I went there on this last visit, and it's so built up with a statue of Sherlock, etc. When I looked for the address in the 1970s, it was an industrial backwater on a small street. At that time, I remember all the cardboard being put out for collection and a motorcycle shop. It left much more to the imagination.
Former Marks and Sparks this and that but in the meantime there's no M&S in Paris anymore and I miss it... Striking architecture, it must have cost a lot, maybe that's why the shop in Paris closed even though it was always FULL of customers.
