I like seeing the sights we don't get to look at every day. There is no synagogue in Astoria, although there is a fair-sized Jewish community. I guess they used to meet in a house, but it's gone. Now there are events at peoples' houses, etc. I think the nearest synagogue is in Portland.
Well, it's a little late for Shana Tova, but better late than never. I'm guessing this is an Orthodox shul.
