Fontaine de la Baleine-Bleue (Fountain of the Blue Whale) by Gabrielle Brechon, 1982
Jardin de l'îlot Saint-Éloi
Quartier de Picpus, 12th arrondissement
Paris, July 2005
Yay! I'm visiting Paris again! Very nice sculpture, the texture is great. Methinks la baleine can only be bleue rather than bleu though, unless there's a spelling mistake in the description of it (which, considering the subzero level the French have got to in spelling wouldn't really be a wonder!)
Now that is one fantastic sculpture! I love the color and the eye - well, can't avoid that! Super shot, VP!
ReplyDeleteI love this! I obviously didn't make it to this corner of the city.
