“Fluctuat nec mergitur” (Tossed by the waves but not sunk)
The coat of arms of the city of Paris
Petit Palais

I have to admit it's beautiful. "Ses fluctuat nec mergitur c'était pas d'la littérature n'en déplaise aux jeteurs de sort..." Do you know Georges Brassens? This song I've heard since my birth -I used to call him "uncle Georges" as if I knew him and I still think he was one of the very best French singers/poets ever... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F2eYvMH5Jes
Utterly beautiful! I walked past and didn't get this photo? I love it! Nicely done.
ReplyDeleteI've got some shots of the place, but like Tapirgal, missed this completely.
ReplyDeleteTres belle! (or something like that!)
This is just great! Very eye-catching too.
