I love the way the French do their parks, with flowers of different colours mixed together. Nice shot!

It seems only the gardener is allowed to sit on the grass in Paris. But the gardener isn't quite sitting, so maybe the rules are very, very strict! What about in Italy? Do people sit on the grass as they do in the US?

Oops, I enlarged it. The gardener is sitting, not squatting. So, that's how one can sit on the grass in France - become a gardener.

@ tapirgal - I guess you can sit on lawns if there are no pelouse interdite signs, we had often pique-niques on the grass without problems and in good company.
Sometimes lawns are part of a flowerbed and things get murkier then...
In Italy, as always, you can do anything you wish...
